Today is day 5 of my trip to Morocco to visit my mother. We take a bus from Marrakech to Essaouira and learn how to pronounce the name of the town. Mom opens up a bit and talks to the camera. I blow through a metal detector without it going off. I don't learn how to windsurf but do see tons of people windsurfing.

I also learn (am reminded?) that its not appropriate to film people in Morocco. I just wanted a cool construction timelapse, but respecting the local traditions is always more important.

Pro travel tip: Sneak onto the roof in any hotel you visit. What's the worst that could happen?
